Estimates, Quotes, and Agreements
Prices displayed on the Site, provided through our instant quote tool, or given verbally are estimates only. They are based on the information available at the time and do not constitute a binding offer.
A final price is established only in a written proposal or service agreement signed by both parties. Conditions discovered at the property, including foundation type, soil conditions, existing construction, access limitations, or the presence of hazardous materials, may require a revised scope and price. We will notify you before performing additional work that changes the agreed price.
Estimates are valid for the period stated on the proposal. If no period is stated, they expire 30 days from issuance.
Scheduling, Access, and Cancellation
You agree to provide safe and reasonable access to the property, including basements, crawl spaces, utility areas, and exterior work zones, during scheduled appointment windows.
You are responsible for confirming you have the authority to authorize work at the property, and for obtaining any consent required from a landlord, homeowners association, condominium board, or co-owner.
Cancellation, rescheduling, and deposit terms are set out in your written service agreement.
Payment
Payment terms, deposits, and accepted payment methods are described in your written service agreement. Past-due balances may be subject to late fees and collection costs to the extent permitted by New Jersey law.
Radon Testing and Results
Radon levels fluctuate based on weather, season, ventilation, occupant behavior, and building conditions. A radon measurement reflects conditions during the specific testing period at the specific location tested. It is not a guarantee of levels at other times or in other areas of the property.
Closed-house conditions and other testing protocols must be maintained during the measurement period. Test results may be invalidated if protocols are not followed, if the device is moved or tampered with, or if the property is disturbed during testing.
The EPA recommends taking action when indoor radon levels reach or exceed 4 pCi/L. Information about radon health risks is available from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.
Mitigation System Performance
Radon mitigation systems are designed to reduce indoor radon concentrations. While our systems are engineered to bring levels below the EPA action level, we cannot guarantee a specific post-mitigation reading, because results depend on building characteristics, soil conditions, occupant behavior, and factors outside our control.
Post-mitigation testing is required to confirm system performance and is your responsibility unless it is included in your written agreement.
Systems require ongoing operation and periodic monitoring. Disabling the fan, altering the piping, sealing or modifying vents, or making structural changes to the property may affect performance and may void applicable warranties.
Water Treatment Services
Water treatment system performance depends on your source water chemistry, flow rate, usage volume, and adherence to the maintenance schedule. Systems require regular servicing, media or filter replacement, and salt or consumable replenishment as applicable.
Unless expressly stated in writing, water treatment systems installed by us are not certified for treating microbiologically unsafe water. If your water quality is unknown or unsafe, have it tested by a certified laboratory before use.
Warranties
Workmanship and equipment warranties, including their duration, coverage, and exclusions, are set out in your written service agreement and in the manufacturer documentation supplied with your equipment. Manufacturer warranties are provided by the manufacturer, not by Jersey Radon.
Warranties do not cover damage resulting from misuse, neglect, unauthorized modification, work performed by others, power interruptions, flooding, structural changes to the property, or events outside our control.
Except as expressly stated in a written agreement, we disclaim all other warranties, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.
